The only American in the draw was Ashlee Ashba. She fell in the 2nd round to the 4th seed from South Africa. She was seeded 2nd in the doubles and reached the semis.
The 4 seeds reached the semis. There was one upset, the 3rd seed beat the 2nd seed in a close match. The top seed, from Belgium, is the 9th ranked woman in the open division in Belgium. She easily won the tournament, dropping not more than 2 games in any match.
