Tuesday: USA d. New Zealand 3-0. Louie d. Dyane Piddock 1,2; Faulkner d. Kay Glenny 0,2; Anderson/Clay d. Glenny-Montgomery 3,4.
USA won on Thursday against Great Britain.
USA beat Germany 2-1 in the final to win the cup. Judy Louie lost a close singles match at #2 singles. Trish Faulkner then beat Orth in 3 sets, winning the first and third set. Last time the two played it was in the final of the 55 grass courts in Pennsylvania, and Orth won that match. Faulkner played brilliantly with Louie to win the doubles and bring the Connolly Cup back to the USA.
