Quarters: Florida beat Texas 4-1; Southern Cal beat Eastern; MidAtlantic and New England also won.
Semis: New England beat Southern Cal; Florida was upset 3-2 by MidAtlantic. The MidAtlantic singles players played flawless tennis. Margaret Russo beat Trish Faulkner 2,2; Peg Machoian displayed some new shots and strategies in her straight set win over Kathy Keating, and Geier directed the ball and Chris Eddy around the court perfectly in her win. Florida took both doubles titles.
Final: Mid-Atlantic beat New England. Russo beat Peltz-Petow in an interesting match. Russo's greater variety of shot selection, and power were a match for Petow's superior speed and all-court game.
Florida took all 3 singles matches to beat Southern Cal in the 3/4.
