The 35/45 Indoors and the pilot Husband-Wife Indoors (not a gold ball event) will be held the 16-20 of May, 2001. The Husband/Wife event will begin the 18th of May. The main sponsor will be American Airlines. The site is the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet & Fitness Club in Homewood, Illinois.

The Daniels and Sheldons reached the semis along with the Kakarekas and Settles, but the Sheldons nearly lost their quarterfinal match. They edged Penny and Bill Heuer 67 75 63. Kathy and Paul Settles from Florida trounced the Daniels 60 61 to reach the final against the Sheldons. The Sheldons beat the Kakarekas 63 63. The Daniels defaulted the 3/4 playoff to the Kakarekas. The Settles d. the Sheldons 64 75 in the final.
