International Cup Team Selection Criteria
The goal in selecting teams is to select the strongest team to represent the United States using the following criteria:
Performance on the surface of the competition.
Performance 6 to 12 months prior to the competition.
International and National rankings and records.
Good sportsmanship and teamwork.
Fitness of the player, recent injuries - team Captain is required to obtain a written statement from each player confirming that they are fit to play in the event.
Players must play in the oldest age category in which they are eligible.
Captains are required to discuss team selections with their Coordinator prior to extending invitations. The Senior International Play Committee Chair will assist in resolving any disagreements.
Nancy Reed is the Coordinator for the women's teams. Gary Lee is the Coordinator for the men's teams. Ron Fisher is the Senior International Committee Chair.
