There was a reception at City Hall with the mayor of Durban and the team wore its blazers...in the blazing heat

Suella Steel has won all her matches thus far at Connolly Cup.

The USA is the defending champion in the Connolly Cup.  Germany is among the tough teams  that will try to dethrone them.

The USA was seeded #1, Germany is #2, Netherlands #3 and Great Britain #4.  There were nine teams participating.  There were 2 groups, each of which is  played a round robin, one group of four teams and one group of five teams.  USA wa in group one (four teams) with Japan, France and Netherlands.  SA and USA won their respective groups and SA beat USA 2-1 in the final.
